Sponsor Transportation for Library Activities
18-Seater Toyota Van (Fairly Used)
This van will provide safe, reliable transport for children from underserved schools to our library for excursions, educational programs, and events.

Sponsor a Library Excursion for Students
We welcome one school group each weekday (20 students per visit) as part of our Excursion Program. Your support helps cover:
● Transportation (fuel)
● Arts & crafts supplies
● Snacks and souvenirs
● Stipends for instructors and volunteers
● Guest educators (when applicable)
Costs:
● Per Student: $20
● Per School Visit (20 Students): $400
● Weekly (5 Schools): $2,000
● Monthly - 4 weeks (20 Schools): $8,000
Support Ongoing Program Operations & Maintenance
Sustaining the day-to-day activities of the library is essential to creating a lasting educational impact for the children we serve.
Currently, the library is fully self-funded by the founders, with no external financial support. Your donation can help lighten this load and ensure that we continue to provide high-quality, consistent programming for our children.

● Maintain the newly refurbished library space, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment

Bring a Library to Every School.
Access to library services is severely limited or entirely non-existent in many parts of the Enugu metropolitan area. Many elementary schools lack in-house book collections, leaving students without the essential resources to develop foundational reading skills. The cumulative effect is a weakened reading culture, substandard literacy experiences, and ultimately, a decline in the overall quality of education.
Proposed Solution:
The Library to Every School Initiative aims to install a miniature library, a mobile bookshelf with a capacity of 1,000 books, at every elementary school in Enugu Metropolis. This ambitious project is designed to cultivate a lifelong reading habit among children and provide vital educational support through access to diverse literary resources. Its impact on literacy, creativity, and academic development will be profound and far-reaching
Funding Required: $2,000 per school
● Custom-Made Mobile Bookshelf: $700
● 1,000 Books (sourced locally and internationally, including logistics): $1,300

Help Us Connect to the World: Internet Access Needed
Current Challenge: No Internet Service.
Although SSI has equipped our library with a 2.5 KVA solar power system, we currently lack internet access, which severely limits our ability to:
● Stream educational documentaries
● Provide access to e-learning and short skill-based courses
● Subscribe to and use an electronic library
● Introduce children to a broader digital world
Proposed Solution:
We are seeking to install a Starlink internet device, known for its high reliability and speed in underserved areas.
Funding Needed:
● Starlink Device & Setup - $600 (pricing as of August 9, 2025)
● Ongoing Subscription Costs - $120/month (with unlimited data, pricing as of August 9, 2025).
Your support will help bridge the digital divide and unlock a world of knowledge for our children.
Donate New Books to Enrich Young Minds
Goal: A Goal of 5,000 additional books at a minimum is required to kick off the project. Books are the cornerstone of our learning programs. We need at least 5,000 new books for our expanding collection, focused on literacy, STEM, culture, arts, and global awareness.
Cost per Book: $5
Total Cost of Books: $25,000
Additional support is also needed to cover shipping and handling to get these books into the hands of our children.
